Supporting
Uganda

to achieve Sustainable Development

Our
mission

UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty while protecting the planet. We help countries develop strong policies, skills, partnerships and institutions so they can sustain their progress.

In Uganda, UNDP supports the Government to achieve sustainable development, create opportunities for empowerment, protect the environment, minimise natural and man-made disasters, build strategic partnerships and improve the quality of life for all citizens.

UNDP recognizes gender equality and women empowerment as human rights issues and drivers of development processes. Our latest approach to deepening gender equality is the Gender Equality Seal, which establishes standards that link gender equality at workplace with development results.
